If you’re an iPhone user who has downloaded some apps, loaded your device with music and taken a slew of photographs, you might find your mobile has become a bit sluggish due to the memory being clogged up.

Luckily, there’s an easy fix to get it running faster which you won’t find on any Apple website, but was revealed on Twitter by Apple fan Marc Forrest.

All you need to do is ensure the phone is unlocked and then hold down the top power button until the ‘slide to power off’ slider appears. Then hold down the bottom home button for five seconds.

Your home screen will reappear, and your phone’s RAM will be cleaned out, meaning your phone noticeably quicker.

However, you may notice a short delay when you re-open applications, but if your phone is being slow and you’ve tried everything, resetting the RAM takes 10 seconds and could help dramatically.
