Kenya’s skydiving Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Najib Balala, is currently in London promoting Kenya as a tourist destination.

Yesterday he was doing the rounds at the BBC where he took part in a radio interview by Akwasi Sarpong and for television by Peter Okwoche. He also spoke to Salim Kikeke for the Dira ya Dunia TV programme and then headed off for the CNN studio to speak to business reporter Maggie Lake.

Today, he was addressing Destination Marketing Representatives (MDRs) during a forum at the Kenya Tourist Board offices.

This provided the ideal opportunity for representatives from the UK tourism industry to question the cabinet secretary on new initiatives and how to encourage tourists to choose Kenya as their holiday destination.

Attendees also watched a presentation from Rosina Williams, account director at Hills Balfour.
