British Ex-Pats reminded to ensure they are registered to vote to have a say in the European Referendum

Register to vote in UK elections
Don't forget to vote to have your say in UK elections if you are eligible.

If you’re a British citizen, living and/or working in Kenya, you will need to make sure you are registered to vote if you wish to have a say in the forthcoming European Referendum.

You qualify to register to vote if you are:

  • a British citizen
  • an EU citizen resident in the UK
  • a qualifying Commonwealth citizen resident in the UK (someone who has leave to enter or remain in the UK, or does not require such leave)

If you live abroad, have been resident in the United Kingdom, and have been registered as a United Kingdom resident elector within the previous 15 years, you can register to vote in the usual way.

To register, please visit the UK Government’s Register to Vote page.
