Today, American Ambassador to Kenya, Robert ‘Bob’ Godec, visited St John’s Community School in Korogocho to enjoy some authentic Kenyan jazz, provided by students at the school.
The school is home to the Ghetto Classics project, which is supported by the Safaricom Jazz Festival. The scheme uses music education to provide local youths with opportunities to better themselves and their community.
