The Borana Conservancy is a non-profit conservation organisation dedicated to the sustainable conservation of critical habitat and wildlife.
Their mission is to provide a sustainable ecosystem, in partnership with their neighbours and community, for critically endangered species on the brink of extinction. Their holistic approach commits tourism, ranching and other enterprise to building local livelihoods and enhancing ecosystem integrity.
The shareholders of Borana set up the Conservancy to undertake all of the conservation and community programmes and underwrite the core conservation costs and agree that all profits must be reinvested in the conservancy.
