Mr Vowles replaces Lisa Phillips who has left Kenya to become Governor of the St Helena, Ascension Island and Tristan da Cunha last month.
His previous post was Head of Programme Delivery (Deputy Director) at the Department for International Development in London where had been leading reforms to transform the way the DFID design and deliver programmes.
We would like to welcome Pete to Kenya and hopes he enjoys this next stage in his career, and wish him every success in his new role.
