The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister,

On behalf of the Government and the People of Kenya, I am delighted to convey to your Excellency, warm congratulations on your historic appointment as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Your appointment reflects the faith and the confidence that the people of the United Kingdom have in your ability to steer the country to greater heights.

As we join you in celebration of this achievement, I note with appreciation the existing warm and cordial ties between Kenya and the United Kingdom. Our relations are underpinned by close collaboration in many areas such as trade and investment, peace and security among others. I am confident that as you take the mantle of leadership, our partnership will be further deepened for the mutual benefit of our peoples. I pledge my support to work closely with you in the achievement of this goal.

Once again, allow me to wish you success at the helm of the Premiership as you work towards the promotion of global peace and development.

Please accept, Excellency, the assurance of my highest consideration.
