Following the first episode which introduced the new dancers and paired them with their professional partners, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman host this weekend’s first two competitive shows which the 15 couples join forces with their professional dancers to battle it out on the dance floor. They will be trying to convince judges Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell they can trip the light fantastic with aplomb.
This year’s celebrity participants are Anastacia, Claudia Fragapane, Daisy Lowe, Danny Mac, Ed Balls, Greg Rutherford, Laura Whitmore, Lesley Joseph, Louise Redknapp, Melvin Odoom, Naga Munchetty, Ore Oduba, Robert Rinder, Tameka Empson and Will Young.
Strictly Come Dancing is scheduled to be broadcast on BBC Lifestyle (DStv channel 174) at 19.00 tonight (15 January), with repeat showing on Monday 16 January at 01.21 and Saturday 21 January at 22.00.
The second show, in which the remaining nine pairs are given a chance to show off their burgeoning talents, follows at 20.21 tonight (15 January) with repeat showings on Monday 16 January at 02.21 and Saturday 21 January at 23.00.
