Harry Potter actress and singer Julianne Hough along with her husband Brooks Laich recently visited Kenya’s Maasai Mara for the second leg of their honeymoon.
The newlyweds shared photos of their experience via Instagram with the 29-year-old Dancing With The Stars judge posting images from the various exotic locations they visited.
Brooks and Julianne married in a star-studded ceremony in Coeur d Alene, Idaho on July 8, before embarking on their honeymoon, with the Seychelles being their first stop.
Hough, who celebrated her 29th birthday during the sun-soaked honeymoon captioned one of the pictures on her Instagram page : ‘Here we go. Let the adventure begin!’
Julianne followed it up with more pictures of herself sitting in a tree, getting a good view of the Savannah wilderness, captioned: “It’s gonna be a great day!”
Her husband, a Canadian ice hockey player, also posted a photo of the couple cuddling up as they watched an elephant in the distance. “No words. #honeymoon,” he wrote, simply.
Posting to his Instagram account, Brooks said: “If you ever want to be truly humbled, put yourself in an environment where you aren’t at the top of the food chain. You’ll quickly realize the fragility of life, and that we humans do not have sole ownership of this planet as we so often think and act like we do. Earth is meant to be shared by all living things, and I’m grateful for the staff at Angama Mara and the surrounding Rangers that help protect the animals right to roam free in the Savannah!”
The luxurious Angama Mara resort is set on the edge of Africa’s Great Rift Valley with each tented suite enjoying a 180° view of the Maasai Mara below.
