An eagerly anticipated football rematch between the Kenya Defence Forces Air Force and the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) teams took place yesterday.
Both teams were eager for victory after their previous encounter ended in a draw.
BATUK FC got off to a flying start with Lance Corporal Burns Scoring two goals in quick succession, and Staff Sergeant Treyharne then adding a third for the British Army team just before half time.
However the KDF managed to even up the score in just 20 mins, leaving the game hanging in the balance.
Unlike their previous encounter though, this match was not destined to end in a draw and in the dying minutes of the game, the Kenyans managed a late goal, giving them a 4-3 victory at the end of an enthralling game.
The fixture was part of a series of friendly matches between BATUK and KDF as part of an ongoing and strengthening partnership.
