Tomorrow (2 September), the Curragh Irish Pub and Bistro are hosting their first ever Nairobi Flea Market, beginning at midday and going on till late.
A bouncy Castle, trampoline, face painting and a clown will be on hand to keep the children occupied, while beer pong, table tennis and other fun games will entertain the adults.
The Curragh will also be serving a variety of wonderful cocktails prepared by some of Nairobi’s top mixologists.
Tomorrow’s event is organized by the same team who run the K1 Flea Market which takes place every Sunday at K1 Klubhouse which began at the start of this year.
Speaking to Brits in Kenya, Kaz from organizers Kaz Entertainment told us that: “It’s [the K1 Flea Market] been a huge success and I figured, why not have another one on the other side of town for those that are not always able to get across town on Sunday.”
“The vendors are a mix and match of everything from chilli’s and relishes to original Kenyan made clothing, to gym shoes and sports wear to hand made furniture.
“There will be something for everyone and a vast and well thought out kids corner with activities to keep the little one busy while the grown ones day drink,” she added.
Entertainment partners for the event are Homeboyz Radio who will be providing a DJ playing tracks to keep guests well entertained for the whole day and night.
Food available during the day will include Chilli Con Carne with Masala Chips (Ksh 600), 3kg Mbuzi Choma Leg (Ksh 2,500) and a mixed meat platter of pork, chicken and sausage (Ksh 1,500). For the children, a chicken nugget, beef sausage and fish finger platter is available for Ksh 800.
The event, which is free to enter begins at 12pm and runs until late.
