Conservative MP for Chelsea & Fulham, Greg Hands, has visited East African Breweries in Nairobi. The company, which is part-owned by British brewers Diageo, produces popular Kenyan beverages such as Tusker which it exports to the UK and other overseas markets.
Tweeting after his visit, the Minister of State for International Trade said: “Great visit to Nairobi’s East African Breweries Ltd Kenya Breweries which is part owned by Diageo. 97% of Kenyan beer production. Brand Tusker being exported to UK. New plant opening in Kisumu this year generating an astonishing 110,000 jobs!”

The new brewery will produce Senator Keg, Diageo’s flagship Kenyan beer made from locally sourced sorghum.
