Kenya’s Angama Mara has been named the “Top Outdoor Adventure Hotel” for 2017 in AFAR magazine’s annual Travellers’ Choice Hotel Awards, voted for by the publication’s readers.

Almost 40,000 votes were cast in the survey, highlighting the retreats they’re most excited to experience, from beach escapes and vineyard stays to design hotels and adventure lodges.

Angama Mara, located in Kenya’s Maasai Mara on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, is made up of two camps with 15 tented guest suites in each.
Each tented suite enjoys a 180° view of the Maasai Mara below, possibly the best-known game reserve in the world, which consistently delivers extraordinary viewing of all of Africa’s great mammals, and is home to the Great Migration from July to October of each year.

Guests can also enjoy guided walking on the escarpment, a 40-foot-long swimming pool, a fitness center, a beading studio, and a curated Safari Shop with clothing and local jewellery.AFAR magazine’s annual Travellers’ Choice Hotel Awards, voted for by the publication’s readers.
