Invest NI visit Irish Embassy in Nairobi for joint cooperation talks

On Friday, the Irish Embassy in Kenya and Ambassador Dr Vincent O’Neill welcomed Chief Executive of Invest Northern Ireland (Invest NI), Alister Hamilton, to discuss plans for joint cooperation to enhance their trade and investment interests with Kenya as well as some joint trade promotion activities and joining Business Ireland Kenya.

Invest NI is Northern Ireland’s regional economic development agency. It is a non-departmental public body (NDPB) of the Department for the Economy (DfE). According to DETI’s website it; “supports business growth and inward investment, promotes innovation, research and development and in-company training, encourages exports and supports local economic development and company start up.”

Business Ireland Kenya, an Embassy of Ireland in Kenya initiative created in 2013, is an association that helps those with professional ties to Ireland and Kenya connect, share and grow. They work to facilitate networking between their members and help them get the information and resources they need to be successful.
