Daniel Fairburn, the Managing Director of Lincolnshire based L J Fairburn and Son Limited, one of the largest egg producers and packers in the UK, has raised nearly £3k towards a £45k target ahead of his Saharan Challenge next month.

Hitting his fundraising target would see him trump his previous charity campaign when he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for Food for Good.

This time he is raising money to support the work of Farm Africa which helps combat poverty by working with smallholder farmers in Kenya and the wider East African area to increase harvests, become self-sufficient and start businesses

Daniel’s 2-day adventure will take him on an 84km trek, the equivalent of running two marathons in consecutive days, over sun baked Saharan sand dunes and rugged mountain ranges.

If you would like to support Daniel in his latest fundraising project, you can do so via his Just Giving page.
