47 county governments and policy makers met in Nairobi yesterday (Tuesday October 9) for the inaugural National Conference on Climate Governance.
The British government supported the event and are working with Kenya to develop its leadership role on climate change issues.

Investment firms in the UK have been working with Kenyan businesses and providing them with both technical and investment support on affordable clean energy solutions.
Speaking at the conference, Department for International Development (DfID) Country Director, Sarah Montgomery, said: “The UK’s Business Energy and Industrial Strategy team which engages in climate finance are keen to build partnership with and provide further policy support to Kenya government.”
